Tea Club Flower Show-
A Great Day Trip

It's that time - time for a tea club day-trip! (Our trip was for a tea club flower show. )Instead of your club meeting for the usual couple of hours for afternoon teatime, plan ahead to take a half or full day to visit a place of interest that will also include a stop for teatime refreshment.

This visit was to the Philadelphia (PA) Flower Show, the largest indoor flower exibition. We decided to take a bus tour into the city so we did not have to drive in the traffic or worry about parking. If you don't live near Philadelphia, see if there is a flower show near you. The theme this year was New Orleans - "Jazz it up". The vignettes and displays were lavish and creative.

The lengths they go to for presentation are amazing!

 

One of the side rooms was set up for
afternoon teatime and only served twice each
day during the show week. Reservations
were needed months ahead of time, as the
affair is always sold-out quickly.

 

 

Shopping for tea, flower bulbs, garden supplies and other flower - related items for a token treasure to bring home is part of the fun!
