Mix Tea Scone Ingredients:
Preheat oven to 400º F (200º C). Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Cut in butter until ingredients are crumbly. Whip together the milk and egg, then add to mixture. Stir until a soft ball of dough forms.
Gently knead on a lightly floured surface while turning several times. For easier handling, divide dough in half and pat or roll dough to 1 1/2 " thick circles. Cut into wedges or use a cookie cutter. Place on lightly greased baking sheets. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until light golden brown. Makes 10 to 12 scones.
