When deciding on tea party ideas and what craft to do, consider these tips from the Tea Party Bee:
- Don't pick a craft that is too complicated, you need something that can be finished in about 20-30 minutes for children and up to 1 hour for adults, depending on the length of your tea party.
- Do shop for your craft supplies well ahead of time and gather the supplies you may already have at home, such as scissors and glue.
- Do arrange the craft supplies for easy accessibility on the day of the party, making sure you have your craft table covered for protection. A pretty, quality vinyl table cloth can be easily wiped and reused for future craft tea parties.
Tea Party Craft Ideas
1. Pretty Place Mat: for a lovely background to place your tea cup, saucer and tea plate upon. Make one that is no-sew with ribbons and craft foam sheets.
2. Ceramic Tea Set: provide ceramic paints and a teacup and saucer for each guest. Make sure tea ware is food safe.
3. Party Hats: purchase straw hats and have lots of silk or dried flowers and ribbons on hand. Use a glue gun to secure in place.
4. Tea Sachets: use loose leaf tea or herbs to make drawer sachets.
5. Dreamy Jewelry: always a hit with the women and girls. Jewelry can be made from beads, embroidery floss, felt, gems, and so much more!
6. Transformed Tea Towels: using a plain tea towel, stamps, and fabric trim, to make your transformation.
7. Special Scrapbook Page: have everyone bring some scrap booking supplies to share. Take pictures during the tea party and print them out on your computer. Create a memory page of the tea time. You provide tea stencils or embellishments.
8. Cute Cozy: decorate a cozy with teapot decoupage, sparkles or your monogram.
